It barely snows in Seattle. But when it snows, it’s time to take my dog and camera out for a walk around the neighborhood. Cars move slowly creating intricate patterns on the snow covered streets, and white becomes a nice clean background for brighter colors to become more saturated and pop up. These are the moments of much joy and happiness for kids and dogs, but birds feel less comfortable. I love these rare spells of cold seasonal beauty that may parish away in a couple of hours but stay alive in my images for years.
